The executive director acts as the CEO of World Population Balance (WPB). This person has final authority over, and oversees all the organization's initiatives, operations, staff and finances. Because this is a small organization, the executive director (ED) manages and plays an active role in these. The ED serves as primary spokesperson for WPB, speaking about human overpopulation on the organization's podcast, in interviews with news and other media, and via presentations at conferences and to college classes, service clubs, church congregations, and any other interested groups. The ED plays the key role in managing relationships with donors. The ED works closely with, and reports to, the WPB board of directors, which provides strategy advice.
The ideal candidate possesses experience and skills in management or execution of most or all of these areas: nonprofit management, business and personnel management, accounting, public speaking, writing, advertising, media and public relations, and fundraising. The candidate also has knowledge of, and a high level of interest in, human overpopulation and efforts to resolve it.
