How Soon to Stop Growing?
The question we face is not whether we'll stop growing, but how soon and under what conditions.
The United Nations predicts that if we really work at it -- harder than we have been -- we could stabilize the world's population by 2040. But more likely that won't happen until sometime after 2060 ... maybe even as late as 2100.
